Theme Ride Thursday: Blast Off to Our Stars, Moons, and Planets Playlist—UPDATED FOR THE ECLIPSE!

Update: We realized this playlist didn’t include any songs specific to eclipses and added a handful of them, allowing you to create a perfect profile for the upcoming solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017. We also included a quick profile, which can be found below. Note that some songs do not have any lyrics, so you may want to mention the title to students so they can see how it fits the theme. Enjoy!

With the summer equinox quickly approaching, we got to thinking that we needed a Stars, Moons, and Planets playlist, which will serve as a quick reference for all your celestial rides. We’ve gathered rock, classic rock, country, and R&B favorites that any astronaut or space traveler would like. So buckle up and get ready for blastoff as we soar through hits like “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, “E.T.” by Katy Perry, and “Aquarius (Let the Sun Shine In)” by The 5th Dimension
