The Gratitude Ride – a 90-minute profile for Thanksgiving

I have taught The Gratitude Ride for the past four years, but I have to say, this 2011 version is my most favorite edition. I offer it to you from my heart. We need even more gratitude in our lives to overcome the heavier difficulties that seem to be present in these days. And what better way than to overcome them than in a hard cycling class?! This class gives you the unique cues and quotes to help your students realize their potential. 1. Jennifer,

You have so many fans, I’m one of them, because your generosity is boundless and it is obvious that because of that you attract abundance in your life.

I was feeling overwhelmed, especially with the holiday coming and the fact that I’d put a “Ride of Gratitude” on our schedule for today, Thanksgiving, then of course it was the weekend before, we were unexpectedly moving our son in preparation for his first post-college graduation job, etc., etc., etc. LIFE, and I was feeling the pressure of not having worked yet on the ride, which I wanted to be extra special because it comes right before the studio’s first anniversary, when like an early Christmas gift, you post this ride!! One that expresses so perfectly, through both the music, the profile and the cueing, everything I wanted to express!

I can’t thank you enough and I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this with our riders today. I’ve created a very simple slide show to play during the ride which starts with the the title followed by:

Thanks to Jennifer Sage of ICA – Indoor Cycling Association for this ride, and for continuing to inspire, educate, indoor cycling instructors around the world. Most of all thank-you for always “keeping it real”

This is followed by the quotes you have included here – timed to play during the appropriate sections of the ride.

I know it is going to be a profoundly satisfying ride today!!

    Much

  2. You are so welcome Shari. Enjoy the ride!
I do, I really do think we have a very unique opportunity with indoor cycling!

  3. Jennifer,
I am so excited to teach this ride. I hope you know how grateful we all are for you. My journey as a cycling instructor has been so enriched since discovering your blog a few years ago, and following your pursuits since then.

Your note at the end–and especially that last quote–brought tears to my eyes.

    With deep thanks,
    Shari
