Thanksgiving Quick Profile: Gobble ’Til You Wobble

Let’s talk turkey, shall we? If you’re still looking for a Thanksgiving profile, then check out our latest quick profile! Whether your Thanksgiving Day includes the rigors of traveling to make it home for the holiday or participating in local Turkey Trot fun races, there’s one thing we all have in common on Thanksgiving…we eat—a LOT! This profile follows a rider through all of these activities, including a dinner with all the works. Of course, it’s followed by dessert.

After a 7-minute progressive warm-up, you will do some seated leg surges, followed by a 7-minute climb. After a recovery, move into 2 sets of “jumps on a hill” (or simply, alternating seated/standing climbs.) Once recovered from the jumps, you’ll move into accelerations before the final push to the summit.

  1. How can I extend this for a 55 or 60 minute class?

    1. Look at the ICA Thanksgiving playlist and find a few songs you really like and add them. You can extend each of the climbs by one song, or add a fast flat segment. You may get some ideas of songs (and what to do to them) from the other 3 Thanksgiving profiles. Mixing and matching them is a great way to expand your options!

Have fun, and let us know what you end up doing to extend it!
