I love marrying the music to the movement. I’m also a firm believer that a true sprint should be no longer than 20 seconds. When you combine both those beliefs, it’s hard to find a song where the chorus is roughly 20 seconds or less, since most are 30 seconds or more.

In “Electricity” by Dua Lipa, Silk City, Diplo, and Mark Ronson you have a song that allows for three 17-second sprints.

Sprint one: At 0:36 instruct riders to begin adding resistance and come out of their saddle if they want.  They’ll sit and sprint from 0:52 to 1:09.

Sprint two: You’ll want to give riders enough time to recover, so this time we’ll remove the standing climb portion and take on the second sprint from 1:59 to 2:16.

Sprint three: The song doesn’t lend itself well to a standing climb before sprinting here, so start the sprint at 3:04 and shut it down at 3:21.
