Need a Halloween Profile? ICA has 11 Halloween Profiles for Members

The trick-or-treat bag of ICA Halloween profiles is overflowing with ten different and exciting rides—you should be able to teach a different one every day in the weeks leading up to Halloween. Here they are all in one place to make it easier for you to locate them. There may be some crossover with a few songs here and there, but remember, we’ve got over 500 song options for you to choose from in our Halloween bucket playlist if you want to replace any of them!

New in 2023…Jennifer’s latest profile is called “Welcome To Your Nightmare”—you’re going to want to add it to your list of scary rides!

Below are the eleven Halloween profiles at ICA.

Welcome to Your Nightmare immerses riders in the story inspired by the lyrics of the songs. In this spine-chilling tale, your riders navigate relentless nightmares that disrupt their sleep before an important day at work. These nightmares will take your riders on a journey, from breathless awakenings in pools of sweat to sinister dreams that await them at every turn.
This fun, interactive Halloween profile is a game you play with your students, allowing them to “Trick or Treat” to select the next interval effort. The songs are awesome and eerie and your students will thank you for helping them work off some of the candy they’ve stolen…er, borrowed from their kids!
Your riders are in for the treat of a lifetime! Leslie Mueller created a murder mystery that she led (performed?) for her class last year, and she has shared the step-by-step process so you can do the same.
This Halloween profile by Lisa Piquette is all about engaging the imagination and sense of humor of your class members, and using that energy to motivate them as you take them through a series of high-intensity efforts while they ride for their lives from the approaching Armageddon!

In 2013, Christine Nielsen’s Hounds of Halloween was a huge hit. This fun but spooky profile is not for the faint of heart—neither you nor your students! Christine weaves a thrilling tale, combined with spooky sound effects, creepy music, apprehension, horrified escapes, and, of course, some hard work. Grunting allowed!

The followup to the original, epic storytelling thriller adds a more modern twist…being abducted by aliens! The original profile ended with a cliff-hanger…this one has an ending that will bring a smile to the faces of your riders.

Don’t miss the exciting profile by the talented Mia Bink. This particular ride is written to be performed as much as it is to be coached. The instructor takes the position as a guide on a haunted bike tour past a graveyard, through Halloween Town, into the woods, past a second graveyard, and concludes with a steep ascent to Dracula’s castle. The more theatrical—the better!

Take your class to their scary limit on six climbs. True to its name, the Fang mountain range resembles…well…a set of fangs. This Halloween ride features many themes from horror movies, plus songs with appropriate titles. Have a contest in class to see who can name the most movies or songs.

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes mama vampire with a baby carriage!

Here is my profile called Truth AND Consequences, and it’s a game that you’ll play with your students. You’ll ask them a series of questions, and depending on how bad they were as kids when trick-or-treating, or with any antics they played at college costume parties, you’ll tell them to “pay some penance”! It has the potential of being quite challenging, unless your students were all angels growing up! I assure you, both you and your students will have a ton of fun with this one!

The first year of ICA I posted the profile “There’s a Party In Them Thar Hills!” As you can probably guess, you get to climb a lot of hills in this profile.

There’s a Party In Them Thar Hills!

  1. Hi
While searching for Halloween tracks I came across this one!
The ghost and the reaper-the dark element
    Clocks in at 170bpm
    5:21
Makes for a good flat road or fast climb maybe.

thanks so much Gillian! I added it to both the “Ghosts” playlist and the main Halloween one. It’s great, lots of energy!

  2. You should listen to some of the tunes you have listed on a couple of your profiles. Halloween Profile: Trick or Treat has two songs that I would not dare use. The first is A Nightmare on Elm Street, (Club Remix), Disco Phantom, the 2nd is Nightmare (Original Sinister Strings Edit). Just listen to the words, they are awful, nasty vulgar profanity.
And then there is a song TRANSYLVANIA on the playlist for This Vampire Marriage Must Be Stopped, again words I would be embarrassed to use. ICA should be ashamed.

Hi James, we try not to be the music police, allowing each facility and instructor to make their own choices about what they will play. That said, “Nightmare (Original Sinister Strings Mix)” literally has zero lyrics—it’s an instrumental—a spooky one. “Nightmare on Elm Street (Club Remix)” has very few lyrics but they are spooky Halloween type lyrics: “close your eyes and welcome to the nightmare, I want your soul.” I don’t think I’d call that awful, nasty, vulgar profanity. It’s Halloween.

For the lyrics of “Transylvania,” you can read them here: https://genius.com/The-coffinshakers-transylvania-lyrics

Nothing vulgar, nasty, or profane…just a little macabre—perfect for the theme of the ride.

We have hundreds of songs on our Spotify Halloween playlist. Like any of our profiles, the songs are always just suggestions (we aren’t Les Mills RPM where you have to play the songs they give you). We always suggest instructors replace any song they don’t like with another from that playlist (or really, any song).

This has been an extremely popular profile over the years.

  3. This morning I did the Ride For Your Lives! playlist. Tweaked a few of the songs, but kept true to the content. My class LOVED it and we all made it out alive. Thank you for all of the work on this one!

2016 UPDATE: You can ignore the comments posted last year about Johnny Bernstein’s Murder Files…they have been reinstated on iTunes! It’s GREAT stuff for your Halloween profiles, so if you can get the whole album, you’ll find use for many of the songs. A lot of them are short, so they are great for either short intervals or when you need a short recovery.

update October 10 2019…the Johnny Bernstein Murder Files tracks are still on Spotify. Let’s hope they stay there!!

  5. Any help on finding the Johnny Bernstein songs????in the Trick or Treat Profile….I am at a loss.

      Joan,

I just searched and couldn’t find it either. DARN!! iTunes used to have it but not any more (if you Google Murder Files Johnny Bernstein it shows up for iTunes, but with a 2009 date). I got mine on eMusic in 2012, but they no longer have it either. I wonder why?

I really hate when that happens, because I try to post music that instructors can find. grrrr!

But….Murder Files is on Spotify though…

Our playlist of over 350 songs (including many albums, similar to this one) is a good resource to find one to replace these songs.
