Ask The Expert: The Weighted Flywheel and Cadences Under 60 rpm

Melinda asked the following question about the effects of the indoor bike’s weighted flywheel on our joints at slow climbing speeds:

Would or wouldn’t the fact that we are pushing a weighted flywheel influence how we cue climbing cadences? I would think that the weight of the flywheel could add too much stress to the knee joints if we dropped below the Spinning recommended 60 rpm on the Spinning bikes.
