I spoke with Melinda Massie, a longtime instructor and ICA member from Lexington, Kentucky. A few years ago I conducted some educational workshops the YMCA in Lexington where she teaches, and I got to experience her passion firsthand. When she first became an instructor about ten years ago, she had a wonderful mentor who guided her through the often confusing process of learning to become an instructor. Since then, Melinda has taken it upon herself to mentor numerous new instructors on her own.
